The catalogue of encouraged Industries in Hainan Free Trade Port is now soliciting opinions on the manufacture of new energy vehicles as a new incentive industry.

SMM: in order to implement the requirements of the "General Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port" and speed up the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, combined with the reality of Hainan, the National Development and Reform Commission drafted the "catalogue of industries encouraged by Hainan Free Trade Port (2020, draft for soliciting opinions)", which is now open to the public for comments.

The encouraging industries in Hainan Free Trade Port are composed of two parts: one is the encouraging industries in the national existing industrial catalogue, including the Industrial structure Adjustment guidance Catalog and the Industrial Catalog encouraging Foreign Investment (all in accordance with the latest revised version); the second is the new incentive industries in Hainan Free Trade Port, including the manufacture of new energy vehicles (in accordance with the regulations on Investment Management of Automobile Industry, etc.)

The public consultation will take place from September 1, 2020 to October 15, 2020. The public can put forward their opinions and suggestions through the Internet, mail, etc.
