SHANGHAI, Aug 21 (SMM) – Inventories of refined nickel in the Shanghai bonded areas expanded 200 mt from a week ago to 20,000 mt with 18,300 mt of nickel plates as of August 21, showed SMM data. Inventories increased for the second consecutive week
Nckel plates and nickel briquettes are expected to arrive at ports in the near term, according to reports. The import window remained closed but nearly 1,000 mt of cargoes entered bonded warehouses through financing channels.
The arrival of forward cargoes accounted for the slight increase in the nickel bonded stocks this week.
