Jingda Group's electromagnetic wire output of 210000 tons, accounting for 11.8% of the country, is the largest in the world. From the national comparison, the scale of copper industry cluster in Tongling is weaker than that in Yingtan, Jiangxi Province, and similar to that in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Tongling has formed a relatively complete copper rod and wire industry chain, copper foil-PCB industry chain, copper strip-lead frame-electronic packaging industry chain, copper art industry chain and so on.

The copper industry in Tongling has six characteristics: first, it is located in the integrated area of the Yangtze River Delta, which is very close to the raw materials and market; second, after many years of cultivation, Tongling has formed a copper-based new material industrial cluster with great influence in China. last year, it was listed as the first batch of national strategic emerging industrial clusters; third, Tongling Nonferrous took a good lead for the state-owned copper processing enterprises, copper plate and strip turned losses into profits, and copper foil took the lead in China. Fourth, Tongling municipal government attaches great importance to the development of copper processing, and the construction of infrastructure and platform is relatively perfect, such as public wastewater treatment platform, testing platform, entrepreneur training mechanism, biennial industrial development forum, etc. Fifth, cultural advantages. Tongling copper culture atmosphere is strong, historical accumulation is heavy, deep into the hearts and minds of every city, the development of copper processing industry; Sixth, the development of Tongling copper processing industry is in a state of wandering in recent years, but it is not too late to mend. Chairman Fan then put forward five suggestions to the Tongling municipal government: first, the government should be more promising and create a good business environment for enterprises. The following suggestions are put forward for enterprises: first, to do a good job in the positioning of enterprises, there are things to do and not to do. The second is to focus on the main business and stick to it. The third is effective innovation. Pay attention to import substitution and the combination of industry, university and research.
