SMM News: OSS, whose full name is PT.Obsidian Stainless Steel, is a joint venture between Jiangsu Delong Nickel Co., Ltd. and Xiamen Xiangyu Group. It is a large-scale iron and steel enterprise integrating nickel-iron alloy production and stainless steel smelting. The steelmaking plant was officially put into production in February 2020. On August 18, 2020, the single furnace life of 100t AOD furnace in OSS steelmaking Plant reached 104furnace, which was the highest since OSS steelmaking Plant was put into operation.
AOD furnace life is an important index of stainless steel production cost control. Since the beginning of this year, OSS steelmaking Plant has vigorously carried out the key work of prolonging AOD furnace life.
In the production organization and management, not only do a good job of accurate docking of shifts, but also pay attention to the management of all links from raw materials to smelting, shorten the waiting time for AOD furnace shutdown as much as possible, and speed up thermal turnover.
Technically, the OSS steelmaking plant has carried out in-depth data statistics, furnace life analysis and other index activities to sum up experience, find gaps, analyze causes, explore laws, formulate key measures, reduce slag irrigation consumption, optimize the proportion of fluorite, shorten the smelting cycle, rationalize the mix of furnace charges, control the rhythm from steel charging to tapping, standardize the inclination angle of furnace body charging, and maximize the mother liquid of steel exchange. At the same time, do a good job of temperature control, so as to better prolong the life of the furnace.
In operation, pay close attention to the operation skills of the operators, improve the enthusiasm of the staff, and form a good working atmosphere of catching up with each other. The furnace life of AOD continues to rise. On August 5th, the furnace life of No. 2 AOD reached 101times, and then on August 18th, the furnace life of No. 1 AOD furnace reached 104times, which once again refreshed the best level of AOD furnace life since OSS steelmaking was put into production.
In order to better encourage the workshop staff, the company leaders Li Yufeng and du Yishan made a special trip to bring condolences to the AOD workshop, affirmed the efforts of the AOD workshop, and ignited everyone's confidence to achieve good results again. It promotes the improvement of the core technology of the OSS steelmaking plant, reduces the cost, improves the efficiency, and enhances the core competitiveness of the enterprise.
The emergence of new records also encourages everyone to make continuous improvement, continuous progress, sum up experience and deficiencies, and make continuous efforts.
