Primary lead smelters operating rates rose this week

Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 56.4% in the week ended August 14, up 1.1 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, August 14 (SMM) — Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 56.4% in the week ended August 14, up 1.1 percentage points from the previous week, showed an SMM survey.

The average operating rate for smelters in Henan gained 2.1 percentage points to 69.6%, and rates for Yunnan and Hunan stood at 35.8% and 47.2% respectively.

Output at Henan Jinli rose slightly this week as it has raised procurement of crude lead from August 12.
