Glencore's lead production fell 13% year on year in the first half of the year, zinc production increased 3% year on year

SMM7 March 31: recently, Glencore released its semi-annual report for 2020. Zinc production in the second quarter was 254500 tons, down 7 per cent from a year earlier and 13.85 per cent from a month earlier, the report said. Zinc production in the first half of the year was 550100 tons, up 3 per cent from a year earlier. This reflects high zinc levels in Canadian mines and temporary shutdowns in Antamina and other South American mines due to Covid-19. Lead production in the second quarter was 66200 tons, down 10 per cent from a year earlier and up 7.3 per cent from a month earlier. Lead production in the first half of the year was 127900 tons, down 13% from the same period last year.
