SMM7 March 31: recently, Glencore released its second-quarter results. In terms of chromium, Glencore produced 466000 tons of ferrochromium in the first half of the year, down 333000 tons from the same period in 2019, down 42 percent from the same period in 2019 (799000 tons in the first half of 2019).

Output:

The guided production of ferrochromium was 466000 tons, a decrease of 333000 tons (42 per cent) compared with the first half of 2019, mainly reflecting the suspension of production of Covid-19 in South Africa in March / April. The smelting business partially resumed on May 1 and is expected to restore more capacity by the end of the third quarter.
