SHANGHAI, Jul 29 (SMM) – Anshan Iron & Steel, a major steelmaker in north China’s Liaoning province, has planned to put its No. 7 blast furnace of 2580m³ into care and maintenance for 40 days from August 10, SMM learned. This is expected to affect daily output of pig iron by 6,000 mt and affect total amount of 240,000 mt.
The company will also delay an overhaul on its 1780mm hot-rolled coil rolling lines from the originally planned August 15 to August 22. The overhaul will last for 12 days, affecting HRC production by 4,600 mt per day and 55,000 mt in total.
