The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that the main indicators of China's industrial production rebounded steadily in the first half of this year. The added value of industries at and above the national scale decreased by 1.3% compared with the same period last year, which was 7.1 percentage points lower than that in the first quarter, of which the growth rate in the second quarter was 4.4%, and the production and marketing situation improved. Of the 41 major industrial industries and 31 provinces and cities, 26 industries and 29 provinces and cities achieved positive growth in value-added in June.
Xin Guobin, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that efforts should be made to break through the "blocking points" and "breakpoints" of the industrial chain, promote solid chains and strong chains, drive upstream and downstream enterprises to resume work and return to production, and industrial production is basically back on track.
From the perspective of the industry, the recovery of the equipment manufacturing industry is obvious, with added value growing by 0.4% in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year, reversing the negative growth situation of a sharp decline of 14% in the first quarter, with an increase of 9. The effect of the policy of encouraging automobile consumption is obvious. The added value of the automobile industry grew by 12.2% in May and 13.4% in June, and automobile production and sales reached a new high in June. The electronics manufacturing industry has bucked the trend driven by the new demand for 5G construction and epidemic prevention and control. The raw material industry is generally stable. The output of crude steel, ten kinds of non-ferrous metals and other products continued to accelerate.
In addition, the added value of high-tech manufacturing increased by 4.5% in the first half of the year, with better growth in pharmaceutical, electronic and communications equipment, computer and office equipment, medical equipment and other industries.
In the field of information and communications industry, the operation is stable and improving. In the first half of the year, the added value of information transmission, software and information technology services increased by 14.5 percent over the same period last year, 1.3 percentage points faster than in the first quarter.
