Liuzhou Guoxuan battery production base officially laid the foundation to focus on iron lithium soft package / annual production of 10GWh

On the morning of July 20, Guoxuan Hi-Tech announced that the project of Liuzhou Guoxuan Battery production Base, the eighth largest production base after Hefei, Lujiang, Jingkai, Qingdao, Tangshan, Nanjing and Nantong, had officially laid the foundation.

On January 19th, Guoxuan Hi-Tech announced that it had signed the "Investment Agreement for the Project of Guoxuan Liuzhou Annual 10GWh Power Battery production Base" (hereinafter referred to as: agreement) with the Liuzhou Municipal people's Government and the Liudong New District Management Committee of Liuzhou City.

According to the agreement, Guoxuan Hi-Tech will build an annual 10GWh power battery production base in Liudong New area, covering a total area of 400mu, including cell production workshop, power battery assembly (PACK) workshop, warehouse and other workshops and supporting facilities. The construction of the project will be divided into two phases, the first phase of the project will be completed and put into production within 15 months from the date of construction, and the second construction project will be started within 12 months from the date of commissioning of the first phase of the project.

Half a year later, the project was finally officially built. According to Xu Xingwu, executive vice president of Guoxuan General Institute of Hi-Tech Industry and Research, the future product direction of Liuzhou Guoxuan is iron lithium soft package, which is mainly equipped with 390,590 modules, and the energy density of the cell can reach 200Wh/kg.

"compared with iron-lithium hard-shell cells, iron-lithium soft packages have many advantages." Chen Ruilin, vice president of the General Institute of Industry and Research, who is in charge of the manufacturing design of the Liuzhou production line, said that the flexibility of the soft bag size change is better in appearance, so it has higher overall flexibility and matching degree; structurally, the soft bag battery has good safety performance; the soft bag has lighter weight, larger capacity, lower internal resistance, and more flexible design, and the vehicle can be loaded with more batteries under the same weight, and the life span of the vehicle is also higher.

With regard to the location, Liuzhou is the only city in China that has the vehicle production base of the four major automobile groups at the same time, and it is also the largest industrial base in Guangxi and a regional manufacturing city facing the eastern, southern coastal and Southeast Asia.
