Primary aluminium inventories rose 4,000 mt over weekend

Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China rose over the weekend, growing concerns that the inventory downtrend beginning from late March would end soon.

SHANGHAI, Jul 20 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China rose over the weekend, growing concerns that the inventory downtrend beginning from late March would end soon.

 

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased 4,000 mt from last Thursday July 16 to 712,000 mt as of Monday July 20.

 

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 219,000 mt, +3,000 mt

Shanghai – 112,000 mt, +6,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 177,000 mt, +2,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 39,000 mt, -3,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 99,000 mt, -1,000 mt

Tianjin – 57,000 mt, -2,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 5,000 mt, -1,000 mt

Chongqing – 4,000 mt, 0 mt
