SMM7 March 17: according to SMM, as of Friday (July 17), the inventory of zinc ingots in Shanghai Free Trade Zone was 46000 tons, 1000 tons less than last week.

It is understood that at the beginning of the week, the import loss narrowed, and a small number of zinc ingots entered the domestic market from the bonded area, while during the week, as the import loss expanded again, there was little inflow of imported zinc. This week, the inventory of zinc ingots in the bonded area as a whole decreased slightly by 1000 tons.

【East China Refined Zinc Market】According to SMM data, zinc prices fell to around RMB 26,000/mt this week, prompting downstream buyers to actively replenish inventories at lower price levels. On September 17, Shanghai zinc ingot inventories fell by 7,600 mt from September 14 to 75,300 mt. Meanwhile, opportunities remained available in bill transactions. With overall zinc ingot availability in the Shanghai market relatively limited recently, holders remained firm on offers, driving spot premiums across the East China market steadily higher.
