SMM, July 17:

According to a survey by Shanghai Nonferrous Network (SMM), this week (July 13-July 17), the weekly operating rate of SMM recycled lead smelters in the four provinces was 53.2%, up 0.5% from last week.

Among them, the operating rate of Anhui recycled lead licensed smelting enterprises is 46.1%, and that of Jiangsu recycled lead licensed smelting enterprises is 53.3%, which is the same as that of last week. Because the supply of waste batteries is still tight, it is barely enough for refineries to maintain normal production. In addition, due to the limitations of refinery production technology, it is difficult to further increase production, and it is difficult to fluctuate the operating rate of recycled lead enterprises. The operating rate of Henan recycled lead licensed smelting enterprises was 47.9%, down 2% from last week. Because Henan Jinli's production line was overhauled this week, the output was only 80% of last week's; Guizhou recycled lead licensed smelting enterprises had an operating rate of 74.5%, an increase of 6.5% compared with last week, mainly because Guizhou Sanhe and Cenxiang completed maintenance this week, resumed normal production, and production capacity was released.

Lead prices have fallen sharply this week, waste battery prices remain high, profits of recycled lead enterprises have been greatly reduced, most of them are reluctant to sell, production enthusiasm may be reduced, and the operating rate of recycled lead enterprises may decline next week.
