Australian Mining Company's Sconi Cobalt, Nickel and Scandium Project will receive A $175 million in financial support

SMM7: the Queensland government has provided conditional financial support to Australian mining company (AUZ) to develop its Sconi Co-Ni-SC project. However, to obtain financial support, the following conditions must be met:

1. Australian mining companies sign an off-take agreement and deliver a detailed project implementation plan by September 30, as well as adequate financing and appointment of engineering and construction management contractors by December 31.

2. The company must complete the construction by July 30, 2023 and employ at least 191 employees by June 30, 2024.

If these conditions are met, Australian mining companies will be able to receive financial support of A $175 million and start mining in 2023.

The Sconi project, located in northern Queensland, has a mine life of more than 30 years and is expected to produce 1.4 million tons of nickel sulfate and 200000 tons of cobalt sulfate, with an annual production capacity of 46,800 tons of nickel sulfate and 7000 tons of cobalt sulfate per year.
