South African government: cinemas, theatres, libraries, art galleries and museums will reopen

SMM7: recently, the South African government announced that cinemas, theatres, libraries, art galleries and museums would be reopened in accordance with the instructions of Minister Naxi Matteswa, provided that the number of cinemas and theatres should not exceed 50 and strictly abide by all health agreements and social alienation measures.

The Minister's instructions will allow the reopening of museums, art galleries, libraries and archives, provided that all health regulations and rules are strictly observed.

The places mentioned must apply to the Minister within 14 days after the issuance of the directives and must be approved, subject to the agreement to be issued in the Ministerial directives in the next few days.

The Ministry of Defense will deploy officials to monitor compliance with instructions and shall provide these officials with special feng certification documents.

Minister Neti Matswa (Nathi Mthethwa) said: "although we are enthusiastic about the development of the arts and culture, we are also committed to ensuring the supremacy of life."
