[SMM afternoon Review] Shanghai Zinc: spot quotation remains stable and the market transaction is mediocre

SMM7 March 6: Shanghai Zinc mainstream traded at 16780 RMB16860 / ton, Shuangyan and Chihong traded at 16800 RMB16880 / ton, Shuangyan and Chihong reported water at 70,880 yuan / tonne in July, Shuangyan and Chihong reported water at 70,880 yuan / ton in July, and Zinc mainstream traded at 16700RMB16780 / ton.

SMM7, June 6:

The mainstream turnover of zinc in Shanghai was 16780 RMB16860 / ton, while that of Shuangyan and Chihong was 16800 RMB16880 / ton, while that of Shuangyan and Chihong was 70 RMB80 / ton in July, and that of Shuangyan and Chihong was 16700tel 16780 yuan / ton. Shanghai Zinc 2007 contract intraday volatility higher, the morning market closed at 16750 yuan / ton. Smelter normal shipments, traders mainly shipments, morning market quotation stable at about 80 yuan / ton, weak transaction price down to 75 yuan / ton or so, a small number of underreported to rise water about 70 yuan / ton, soon the transaction disappeared, the overall transaction is still weak, downstream to maintain on-demand procurement, the overall transaction is roughly the same as last week.

The zinc import price ratio continued to deteriorate in February, with further downside pressure in the outlook

As of February 12, 2026, LME zinc ingot inventory continued to decline to 103,500 mt, while the LME Cash-3M contango narrowed from over $40/mt in January to below $20/mt. At the same time, due to the Chinese New Year holiday, many downstream zinc enterprises suspended operations, leading to a continued buildup in domestic zinc ingot inventory to over 160,000 mt.
