SMM: recently, China Copper's Peru Mining Phase II project officially opened the mode of resumption of work and production.

Under the influence of the epidemic, Peru entered a state of emergency. The continuous extension of the ban by the government has led to the evacuation of about 75% of the personnel in Peruvian mining mines, leaving only the minimum number of people to maintain operation, which has greatly affected the normal operation of the company. at the same time, it also seriously affected the pilot production and final construction of the second phase of the Peruvian mining project.

Affected by the epidemic, the pilot production of the second phase of the Peruvian mining project was forced to stop. During the suspension of the second phase of the project, under the leadership of Luan Shuwei, vice president of China Copper and president of Peruvian Mining, Peruvian Mining maintained communication and coordination with the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Ministry of production, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Health and other national institutions, and submitted an epidemic prevention plan. Through the continuous efforts of all parties, on May 25, the Peruvian Mining Industry obtained the "Registration Certificate" and the permit to resume work and production from the Ministry of Health of the country. Based on the company's epidemic prevention and control and preparations for resuming work and production, the project development department constantly adjusts and upgrades the contractor's epidemic prevention and control strategies and measures, strengthens communication and coordination with contractors, formulates plans and measures for resuming work and production, strengthens material preparation, and formulates and implements shift plans. According to the relevant programs for epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production, the Peruvian Ministry of Mining Project Development actively communicates and coordinates with the trial production team and contractors to implement the "28 × 28" working system, that is, the relevant employees work in the mine for 28 days, rest for 14 days, quarantine for 14 days, and change shifts after two tests on the 1st and 14th days to confirm that there is no infection.

On June 4, the first batch of 65 pilot production personnel of the second phase of the project were all rotated in place. The next day, the comprehensive inspection and commissioning of the equipment of the second phase of the project began, and the flotation tank and thickener pulp were cleaned. On the morning of June 8, the semi-autogenous mill and ball mill were successfully started, and the ore supply began. The trial production was carried out according to the trial production plan of 800 tons per hour, which marked that the second phase of the Peruvian mining project has officially entered the stage of resumption of work and production. According to the trial production plan of the second phase of the project, the handling capacity will be increased in stages, and the trial production of the second phase of the project is scheduled to be completed on July 31 and handed over to the production team.

It is reported that the Peruvian mining industry currently has 810 employees in quarantine for a period of 14 days. When the isolation of all the staff is over, the construction of the second phase of the final project, such as stubble crushing, flotation optimization project, tailing dense area and pressure filtration area, will be resumed in a planned way.
