Of the vehicles to be recalled, 412000 are in Sweden, 308000 in the United States, 245000 in China, 178000 in Germany and 169000 in the UK. The models affected are Volvo S60, S60L, S60CC, V60, V60CC, XC60, V70, XC70, S80 and S80L produced between 2006 and 2019.
Volvo will start contacting the affected owners by letter this month, who will need to drive the vehicle to a local Volvo dealer and replace the steel wire with a fixed bracket.
