India conducts anti-dumping investigation on imports of aluminum foil from China and other countries

SMM6 March 23: a few days ago, India conducted an anti-dumping duty investigation on some types of aluminum foil imported from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Dumping takes the form of increasing the absolute quantity of dumped imports, involving production and consumption, the impact of price reduction and price suppression on domestic industries.

Products up to 80 microns of aluminum foil, such as cigarette foil and family foil, are under review.

India's General Administration of Trade Relief says it has launched an investigation into the damage investigation period that could cover the 2017-2020 period.
