SMM News: June 19, the new generation of electric vehicle charging technology Sino-Japanese joint conference held online. At the press conference, State Grid Co., Ltd. and Japan CHAdeMO Agreement Association (Japan Electric vehicle Quick Charger Association) issued the "White Paper on ChaoJi conduction charging Technology for Electric vehicles" and CHAdeMO3.0 standards around the new generation electric vehicle charging technology. China Electric Power Enterprises Association and CHAdeMO Agreement will jointly start the research work on the development route of ChaoJi industrialization, which marks the basic maturity of ChaoJi charging technology. Enter a new stage of standard setting and industrial application.

The new generation ChaoJi charging technology is a complete solution of DC charging system for electric vehicles. In view of the problems existing in the existing charging system in the world, it has been comprehensively improved in the aspects of charging safety, charging power, structure design, forward compatibility and future application. At present, the real car test results show that the maximum charging current of ChaoJi charging technology is 360A, the future charging power can reach 900kW, and the electric vehicle can drive 400km in 5 minutes. This technology has a wide application prospect, which can not only cover the field of mainstream passenger vehicles, but also meet the special needs of heavy-duty vehicles and other vehicles.

The "White Paper on ChaoJi conduction charging Technology for Electric vehicles" systematically combs the research background and current situation of the new generation charging technology, focuses on the new generation ChaoJi charging system, communication protocol and connection component technology scheme, and puts forward the technical standard plan and industry plan. Chinese and Japanese experts believe that the release of the white paper provides the world with a complete, fast, safe, compatible and low-cost charging system solution, which will effectively promote the accelerated maturity and internationalization of ChaoJi charging technology, reduce the cost of R & D and manufacturing of electric vehicles, expand the scope of popularity, and enhance the convenience of users. Ouyang Minggao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Tsinghua University, said ChaoJi charging technology will play an active role in solving the problems of charging safety and durability of electric vehicles.

In March 2016, the State Grid Corporation, together with the China Federation of Electric Power Enterprises, began the pre-research of China's high-power charging technology. The first International Conference on New charging Interface Project held in July 2019 formally named the new generation charging interface technology scheme put forward by China as "ChaoJi", which was widely recognized by experts from the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries and regions. Based on the same technical route, Japan has simultaneously compiled a new generation of charging standard CHAdeMO3.0.

The formulation and revision of two Chinese national standards on the conductive charging system of electric vehicles were launched at the same time at the press conference. Relevant government departments and industry representatives of China and Japan said that they will further deepen practical cooperation, work together to create a good industrial ecological environment for ChaoJi charging technology, promote the upgrading of charging technology and the internationalization of standards, and jointly promote ChaoJi charging technology to become a universal standard with global compatibility.
