SHANGHAI, Jun 19 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal in China rebounded this week on the back of increased operations and ramped-up capacity in Yunnan as well as the continued shipment from silicon plants to social warehouses.

SMM data showed that the stocks of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port stood at 46,000 mt as of June 19, up 1,000 mt from a week ago.

Stocks in Kunming did not rose significantly as majority of the shipments were between plants without transfer to social warehouses. Inventories at ports held flat on the week due to sluggish demand from overseas.
