SMM Network News: recently, Tongling Nonferrous Gold Crown Copper Branch "Austrian Furnace Transformation Project" Phase II electrolysis project production of the first batch of electrolytic copper products smoothly off the line. The design capacity is a project with an annual production capacity of 140000 tons of cathode copper, which will bring 60, 000 tons of copper to the enterprise in the year when it is put into production. After reaching the standard, the annual output of cathode copper of Jinguan Copper Branch will reach 640000 tons, making it the largest single copper smelter in the country.
The second phase of the electrolysis project of "Austrian Furnace Transformation Project" officially started construction on June 5, 2019, with a total investment of 209 million yuan. In the course of the construction of the project, the "one plant and four parties" participated in overcoming various difficulties such as insufficient personnel, blocked logistics and shortage of materials during the epidemic, and realized the completion of the main project in April 2020. it has set a new record for the completion of a 100000-ton electrolysis workshop in 10 months, and the construction of the project is six months ahead of the normal construction period and two months ahead of the group's plan.
On May 27, eight groups of cathode and anode plates in the second stage electrolysis were successfully completed ahead of schedule. In the early morning of June 9, the first batch of 2 groups of 36-slot electric copper went off the line smoothly. According to the person in charge of the Austrian furnace electrolysis workshop, after the cycle is stable, the daily copper output of two groups will be maintained.
The relevant person in charge of Tongling Nonferrous Group said at the ceremony of the first batch of electric copper production line that the construction of the second phase of the electrolysis project of the "Olympic Furnace Transformation Project" has fully achieved the expected goals, marking the completion of a new copper smelting industry upgrading base in Tongling Nonferrous Metals. Another solid step has been taken towards the goal of "building a model factory for copper smelting in the world".
