Bonnell lowers its forecast of aluminum product shipments in 2020

SMM6, March 2: affected by the new crown epidemic, the market demand has declined. Bonnell reduced its sales of aluminum profile products by 14% in 2020.

At present, some industry data are lacklustre, and Bonnell's current orders and sales are falling.

Bonnell currently expects total sales of just 173 million pounds in 2020, down from 201 million pounds at the beginning of the year and 208 million pounds in 2019.

Bonnell's factories in Michigan are currently the most affected by the outbreak, where 80 per cent of the aluminum profiles produced are consumer durables.

Bonnell's first-quarter aluminum shipments fell 11.7% year-on-year to 47317000 pounds, while revenue fell 15.2% year-on-year to $117.89 million.

Bonnell mainly produces aluminum profiles for construction, automobile and consumer durables.
