SMM May 27th Lithium manganate spot comment: today Lithium manganate (power type) price is 3.35-35500 yuan / ton, the average price is 34500 yuan / ton, there is almost no transaction in the power market, the price remains the same; Lithium manganate (capacity type) price is 2.15-29000 yuan / ton, recently a small number of enterprises reduced prices slightly, the overall price fluctuated in the range. The decline in lithium carbonate prices slowed this week, waiting for the lifting of the ban in overseas markets, and the overall production of lithium manganate market is expected to be halved from May to July.

The decline in lithium carbonate prices slowed this week, downstream demand continued to be weak, domestic orders remained unchanged, overseas demand has not recovered, market transactions tend to be flat, prices remain low. Lithium manganate is greatly affected by overseas Indian markets. At present, India is tentatively scheduled to lift the ban on May 31. If customs can be opened on time, Indian factories will also need time to gradually resume work. It is expected that lithium manganate materials will have to wait for another two months. Overall, the overall output of the lithium manganate market is expected to halve from May to July, and a small number of enterprises have stopped production in early May, waiting for downstream demand to recover.

Xinqing Energy Releases EPC Tender for Low-Carbon Hydrogen-Ammonia Project in Xinjiang

[SMM Hydrogen Energy Bulletin] On March 19, the EPC general contracting tender for the low-carbon integrated project for clean utilization of coupled resources in hydrogen production from PV-powered electrolysis by Xinqing Energy (chemical section) was recently released. It is understood that the project is located about 28 kilometers east of Fukang City, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, about 72 kilometers west of Jimusar County, and about 7 kilometers north of Ganhezi Town, immediately adjacent to the east side of Xinjiang Jinxiang Sairui Coal Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. The project is expected to newly build a 383.3 MW PV power generation system to establish hydrogen production capacity of 20,000 mt per year, along with a synthetic ammonia system with annual output of 130,000 mt. In addition, a 220 kV step-down substation will also be built. As a demonstration project for the application of carbon reduction, carbon sequestration, and carbon neutrality technologies in the production of hydrogen and synthetic ammonia from clean energy, the project is of great significance.
