SHANGHAI, May 27 (SMM) – China’s exports of silicon metal decreased in April following after foreign buyers stockpiled aggressively to replenish their stocks a month ago.
Data from China customs showed that China exported 49,000 mt of silicon metal in April, down 40.3% on the month and down 12.5% on the year.
Customs data also showed that China’s imports of polysilicon in April were 27.9% lower on the month and 34.1% lower on the year, standing at 0.8 mt.
