The recently completed DFS study of ioneer has confirmed that its Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron mine project in the United States is a world-class high-quality mine project.

SMM5 19 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-ioneer recently completed a DFS study that confirmed that its Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron mine project in the United States is a world-class high-quality mine project. The project is characterized by extremely low cost, large scale and long mine life, so it can create great value. The project, located in Nevada, USA, is an area with good mining environment and sound law, and has rich technical human resources and good infrastructure. The results of the DFS study show that the, Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project will be the single most attractive project capable of producing lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide and boric acid in a competitive manner. Ioneer will produce 20600 tons of LOM lithium carbonate per year and 22000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide and 174400 tons of boric acid annually from the fourth year of production.

The results show that ioneer can achieve the lowest production cost of lithium products in the world, that is, the total maintenance cost of battery-grade lithium hydroxide of US $2510 per ton, taking into account the revenue contribution of its boric acid products. Ioneer has drawn up a clear project completion plan and is in negotiations with relevant strategic investors and underwriting partners, and plans to start plant commissioning in the second quarter of 2023.
