SMM5, March 18: Mexican miner Industrias Penoles said on Saturday that it had announced an indefinite suspension of operations at a zinc mine in central Mexico due to difficult mining conditions and low zinc prices. However, the suspension of operations will not affect its refined zinc production. In 2019, the mine produced 41541 tons of zinc. Shanghai zinc rose to 16675 yuan / ton in intraday trading and closed at 16635 yuan / ton as of noon today, an increase of 1.37 percent.
