Jiangsu Tafel began construction of 6GWh/year power battery project

Jiangsu Tafel New Energy Technology on May 17 kicked off construction of its phase II and III capacity of a power battery project, which is located at the Jiangning Development Zone, Nanjing.

SHANGHAI, May 18 (SMM) – Jiangsu Tafel New Energy Technology on May 17 kicked off construction of its phase II and III capacity of a power battery project, which is located at the Jiangning Development Zone, Nanjing.

With an overall investment of 3 billion yuan, the phase II capacity of 3GWh/year is designed to come online in June 2021 and the phase III capacity of 3GWh/year will commission in December 2021.

Jiangsu Tafel currently has an annualised power battery capacity of 4GWh. Completion of the project will bring the power battery production capacity of the company to 10GWh/year.
