SMM: recently, it is reported that after super factories in Reno, Nevada, Buffalo, Shanghai and Berlin have been put into production or started construction, Tesla, which plans to build 10 to 12 super factories around the world, is also planning the next super factory. Sources revealed that Musk has chosen to build in Austin, Texas.

Foreign media reported that Tesla's next factory location in Austin, Texas, was revealed by a very reliable source.

However, the source only revealed that Musk has chosen Austin and has not yet determined the exact location of the factory, but the source said that even if the factory is not in Austin, it will at least be close to Austin. Tesla currently has a number of locations to choose from in Austin, but no final decision has been made.

Foreign media reports also show that Tesla's plant in Austin will be used to produce electric pickup truck Cybertruck and cross-border sports utility electric vehicle Model Y. the former was launched in November last year and is scheduled to start mass production next year, while the latter was launched in March last year. Production began at the assembly plant in Fremont in January and delivery began in March.

According to foreign media reports, Musk hopes that the factory will start construction and start production quickly. He has asked the engineering team of the super factory in Nevada to start matters related to the new factory. The goal is to produce Model Y by the end of this year. The planned construction speed is much faster than that of the Shanghai super factory, which took only 11 months from construction to approval for production.

Of course, sources also revealed that Tesla's goal should be to build a final assembly line with production capacity by the end of the year, and they will continue to build factories in order to increase the capacity of different parts next year and start producing electric pickups later next year.

Silicon Metal Market Review for January and Outlook for February
In January, the silicon metal market experienced a relatively loose supply-demand balance, with a theoretical inventory buildup of approximately 30,000 mt. In February, both supply and demand contracted simultaneously, and the market is expected to show a tight balance or minor destocking. The current high industry inventory still requires time to be digested, and the sustainability of destocking remains a key variable affecting price trends and market sentiment.

A plant in northern China is calling for bids for indium ingots and bismuth ingots
SMM, February 6 - According to SMM’s investigation of market information, a large smelter in northern China began public bidding for a certain quantity of indium ingots and bismuth ingots starting yesterday. Market sources indicate that the starting price for these indium ingots exceeds 4,000 yuan per kilogram, while the starting price for bismuth ingots is above 150,000 yuan per ton. The bidding results are expected to be announced before the Spring Festival. Market participants note that, given the clear trend of sluggish trading activity ahead of the Spring Festival, the timing of this bidding is not ideal. However, the relatively favorable starting prices have generated considerable market anticipation for the outcome of the bidding.
