Primary aluminium inventories dropped 51,000 mt over weekend

Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased 51,000 mt from last Thursday May 14 to 1.007 million mt as of Monday May 18.

SHANGHAI, May 18 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China continued their steep fall over the weekend, showed SMM data.

Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased 51,000 mt from last Thursday May 14 to 1.007 million mt as of Monday May 18, compared to a decline of 114,000 mt during May 6 to 14.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 420,000 mt

Shanghai – 135,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 207,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 57,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 111,000 mt

Tianjin – 57,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 8,000 mt

Chongqing –11,000 mt
