Jiangsu Tafel New Energy Phase II and III 6GWh Power Battery Project starts

SMM: it is reported that the second and third phase of the power battery project of Jiangsu Tafel New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. started on May 17, 2020. the project is located in Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone, with a total investment of about 3 billion. The project will be put into production in two stages, of which the second phase of 3GWh is scheduled to be put into production in June 2021, and the third phase of 3GWh is scheduled to be put into production in December 2021. After the second and third phase of the project is officially put into production, Tafel will have the power battery production capacity of 10GWh at that time.

Jiangsu Tafel New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established in July 2017 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The company's main business scope includes research and development, production, sales and technology transfer of new energy lithium-ion batteries, energy storage batteries and charging stations; R & D and sales of electronic products and digital products; self-management and agency for the import and export of all kinds of commodities and technologies. The company is headquartered in Nanjing, Jiangsu and has branch companies and production bases in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Gui'an, Guizhou, Changde, Qihe, Beijing, Taiwan, Silicon Valley and other places.

Breakdown by origin: imports from South Africa were 3.2422 million tons (up 6.2% year-on-year), imports from Turkey were 184,700 tons (up 55.8% year-on-year), and imports from Zimbabwe were 400,000 tons (up 70.3% year-on-year).
