Aluminium billet inventories shrank 19,300 mt on week amid stable shipments

Inventories of aluminium billet in China again declined this week, as shipments from warehouses were stable while arrivals were limited.

SHANGHAI, May 14 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China again declined this week, as shipments from warehouses were stable while arrivals were limited.

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China fell 19,300 mt from May 6 to 112,800 mt as of May 14. The stocks added 2,700 mt between April 30 and May 6.

Stocks decreased in all the five areas of Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang this week, with inventories in Wuxi dipping the most.
