Indonesia Freeport Company steps up New Crown virus Detection

SMM5, March 14: Indonesian free port company (PT Freeport) is currently stepping up efforts to detect the new crown virus among its employees and contract workers.

The increase in the number of new crown cases has also prompted the head of municipal government to urge the president to allow Freeport to temporarily close the mine, according to local media reports.

Riza Pratama, a spokesman for Indonesia's Freeport, said the mine's operations had not been disrupted.
