Phased capacity of a 12GWh/year NEV battery project in Hubei started trial run

Hubei Linuo New Energy Technology has begun trial operations of its phase I capacity of a battery project for commercial new energy vehicles at the Shiyan New Industrial Zone, Hubei province.

SHANGHAI, May 13 (SMM) – Hubei Linuo New Energy Technology has begun trial operations of its phase I capacity of a battery project for commercial new energy vehicles at the Shiyan New Industrial Zone, Hubei province. 


With an investment of 1.5 billion yuan, the phase-one project is designed with an annualised capacity of 2GWh and is expected to reach full capacity by June. 


The project is designed with an overall capacity of 12GWh/year, with the phase II capacity of 10GWh/year slated to reach target production by March 2021. 


Construction of the project started in May 2019, involving an overall investment of more than 4 billion yuan.
