Primary aluminium inventories dropped 70,000 mt during May 6-11

Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China continued to fall after the Labour Day holiday, as demand remained robust while arrivals were limited.

SHANGHAI, May 11 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China continued to fall after the Labour Day holiday, as demand remained robust while arrivals were limited.

 

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased 70,000 mt from Wednesday May 6 to 1.102 million mt as of Monday May 11, after a decline of 32,000 mt between April 30 and May 6.

 

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 468,000 mt

Shanghai – 143,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 232,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 69,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 113,000 mt

Tianjin – 56,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 9,000 mt

Chongqing –12,000 mt
