Maintenance at steel mills in Tangshan, Wuhan to impact HRC output in May

Tangshan Fengnan Zongheng steel plant plans to put its 1780mm rolling lines into maintenance for 13 days from May 10, and this could impact hot-rolled coil output by 195,000 mt during the period, according to sources. 

SHANGHAI, May 9 (SMM) – Tangshan Fengnan Zongheng steel plant plans to put its 1780mm rolling lines into maintenance for 13 days from May 10, and this could impact hot-rolled coil output by 195,000 mt during the period, according to sources. 


SMM also learned that Wuhan Iron & Steel, a subsidiary of listed steelmaker Baoshan Iron & Steel, will suspend operations of its 1580mm HRC rolling lines for maintenance on May 17. The overhaul is slated to last for five days, impacting production by 46,500 mt.
