[quarterly report] Glencore: Q1 ferrochromium production is down 3% year-on-year in 2020. Production guidance for the whole year is down 25%.

SMM5, June 6: recently, Glencore released results for the first quarter of 2020, the company's ferrochromium production of 388000 tons, 14000 tons less than in the first quarter of 2019, down 3% from the same period last year.

Production situation:

Under the 2020 production guidance, ferrochromium production fell by 340 kt (25 per cent) to 1000 tons, mainly due to the suspension of operations from 26 March 2020 and the phased resumption of operations on 1 May 2020, in accordance with the South African State blockade.
