Chilean miner Antofagasta: global copper market surplus 20-300000 tons this year

SMM5, May 5: Antofagasta CEO IV á n Arriagada said in an interview with the media a few days ago that the epidemic has affected all walks of life around the world, and the market is full of uncertainty, so it is difficult to predict the price of copper.

But he thinks the global copper market will have a surplus of about 20-300000 tons this year.

Antofagasta produced a total of 194000 tonnes of copper in the first quarter, up 2.9 per cent from a year earlier and 4.6 per cent from a month earlier.
