Chinese aluminum fluoride producers agreed on Monday to suspend production for one to two months, starting early May, to prop up prices and deplete inventories.

SHANGHAI, Apr 27 (SMM) – Chinese aluminum fluoride producers agreed on Monday to suspend production for one to two months, starting early May, to prop up prices and deplete inventories.

Prices of aluminum fluoride in China have been on the decline since April, as demand was sluggish. SMM assessed prices of aluminum fluoride at 8,500-8,900 yuan/mt as of Monday February 27, shedding more than 8% from the recent peak.
