Antofagasta's copper production increased by 2.9 per cent in the first quarter compared with the same period last year

SMM4, June 22: today, Antofagasta released its first quarter 2020 report. During the reporting period, the company produced a total of 194000 tons of copper, up 2.9 per cent from a year earlier and 4.6 per cent from a month earlier.

Gold production totaled 65100 ounces, up 4.7 per cent from a year earlier, mainly due to an increase in ore grade at the Centinela mine.

Molybdenum production totaled 2400 tons, a decrease of 1100 tons over the same period last year, mainly due to the decline in ore grade in the Los Pelambres mining area.
