Jinye Group has taken over Yunnan Yongchang Iron and Steel, which is expected to resume production in May.

SHANGHAI, Apr 21 (SMM) – Jinye Group has taken over Yunnan Yongchang Iron and Steel, which is expected to resume production in May.

With 2.32 million mt/year of pig iron capacity, 1.7 million mt/year of billet capacity and 1.7 million mt/year of steel products capacity, the Yunnan steelmaker has changed its name to Yunnan Jinye Iron and Steel.
