SHANGHAI, Apr 14 (SMM) – China's State Grid said on Tuesday that it will invest a total of 2.7 billion yuan in the construction of charging piles and build 78,000 charging piles this year. The number of planned new charging piles is 10 times as much as the addition last year.
The state-owned electric utility giant also announced that it will kick off construction of 126 charging pile projects across 18 Chinese provinces and cities, which entail a total of 360 million yuan of investment, to facilitate the development of the electric vehicle charging network.
