Brazilian gold miner Jaguar Mining increases both production and ore grade in the first quarter

SMM4, March 14 -: Jaguar Mining announced on Monday that first-quarter production in 2020 was the best since the end of 2017. In the first quarter of 2020, the company produced 21008 dsz of gold, compared with 16365 dsz in the same period last year, up 28 per cent from a year earlier, the fourth consecutive quarter of growth. In addition, the ore grade has also increased.

Among them, Brazil's Pilar gold mine also achieved record production, producing a total of 11521 tons in the first quarter, up 30 per cent from a year earlier, compared with 8840 in the first quarter of 2019.

In addition, gold production at Brazil's Turmalina underground mine reached 9486 leagues in the first quarter, up 26 per cent from a year earlier, compared with 7525 leagues in the same period last year.

During March, most of the company's mines continued to operate.
