According to Henan Daily, the 6.5 kV/8 kA integrated gate-commutated thyristor (IGCT) flexible DC converter valve assembly, jointly developed by XJ Electric Co., Ltd. under China Electrical Equipment Group as the lead entity, together with Tsinghua University and CSG EHV Power Transmission Company, recently passed the national-level technical achievement appraisal organized by the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. The appraisal committee unanimously concluded that the achievement had reached an internationally leading level, marking a major breakthrough by China in core equipment within the strategic technological field of flexible DC transmission.

State Grid Corporation of China has launched an investment plan of over 4 trillion yuan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. As a core part of this plan, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power’s total investment in 2026 will exceed 51 billion yuan. Of this massive investment, 33.46 billion yuan will be directly allocated to power grid infrastructure construction. To ensure a strong start to the annual tasks, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is striving to complete over 10 billion yuan of investment in Q1.
