Primary lead smelters operating rates rose to 53.8%

Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 53.8% in the week ended April 3, up 1.3 percentage points from the prior week, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Apr 3 (SMM) – Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 53.8% in the week ended April 3, up 1.3 percentage points from the prior week, showed an SMM survey.

The operating rate in Hunan climbed to 43.5% as Jingui resumed production, while that in Henan rose to 65.9% as Yuguang recovered to normal.

Primary lead smelters in Yunnan operated at an unchanged rate of 38% this week.
