Social inventories of copper cathode in south China’s Guangdong province continued to trend downsides, falling for the fourth consecutive week as of Friday April 3.

SHANGHAI, Apr 3 (SMM) – Social inventories of copper cathode in south China’s Guangdong province continued to trend downsides, falling for the fourth consecutive week as of Friday April 3.

SMM data showed that social inventories of copper cathode at major warehouses in Guangdong stood at 82,700 mt as of April 3, down 10,300 mt from Friday March 27.

The stocks decreased 8,800 mt in the week ended March 27, accelerating from a weekly decline of 8,600 mt in the previous week.

SHFE Copper Warrants Rise by 3,599 MT, Mainly in Shanghai Area

[SMM Copper Flash] During the day, the SHFE warrant daily report showed that copper futures warrants increased by 3,599 mt to 319,087 mt. The increase was mainly in the Shanghai area; data showed that the Shanghai area increased by 4,103 mt to 167,865 mt, while the Jiangsu area decreased by 504 mt to 95,150 mt.
