Aluminium billet inventories shrank 18,500 mt on week

Inventories of aluminium billet in China fell for the fourth consecutive week as of April 2, due to greater deliveries and reduced arrivals.

SHANGHAI, Apr 2 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China fell for the fourth consecutive week as of April 2, due to greater deliveries and reduced arrivals.  


SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China declined 18,500 mt from March 26 to 174,200 mt as of April 2. This followed the stocks shrank 4,900 mt in the week ended March 26.


Inventories in all the five consumption areas, which are Foshan, Wuxi, Changzhou, Huzhou and Nanchang, declined on the week as of April 2.
