HBIS Tangsteel to put galvanising lines into maintenance

Tangsteel, a subsidiary of China's biggest steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS Group), planned to put its 1# galvanising lines into maintenance for three days from April 1, sources told SMM.

SHANGHAI, Apr 1 (SMM) – Tangsteel, a subsidiary of China's biggest steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS Group), planned to put its 1# galvanising lines into maintenance for three days from April 1, sources told SMM.


The maintenance is expected to affect production of galvanised steel by 3,700 mt. 


As of April 1, the national average price of hot-dip galvanised steel stood at 4,645 yuan/mt, 25 yuan/mt lower from March 31 and 110 yuan/mt lower from a week ago. The prices have slipped from a more than nine-month high of 4,870 yuan/mt on March 4.
