Primary lead smelters operating rates rose to 52.5% as Yuguang recovered

Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 52.5% in the week ended March 27, up 1.3 percentage points from the prior week, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Mar 27 (SMM) – Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces averaged 52.5% in the week ended March 27, up 1.3 percentage points from the prior week, showed an SMM survey.

 

The operating rates in Yunnan and Hunan remained unchanged at 38% and 42%, respectively, while that in Henan increased 2.6 percentage points to 64.2% as Yuguang recovered production. Yuguang plans to recover to daily output of 1,000 mt.

 

West Mining wrapped up maintenance at its primary lead smelter in Qinghai this week and production is ramping up.

 

Jingui Silver in Hunan plans to resume lead production in April.
