Yongxing Materials' 10,000 mt/year lithium carbonate project in trial production

Yongxing Materials, a Shenzhen listed company that engaged in lithium battery new energy and stainless steel businesses, has put a 10,000 mt/year battery-grade lithium carbonate project into trial production, according to sources on March 24.

SHANGHAI, Mar 25 (SMM) – Yongxing Materials, a Shenzhen listed company that engaged in lithium battery new energy materials and stainless steel businesses, has put a 10,000 mt/year battery-grade lithium carbonate project into trial production, according to sources on March 24. 


At the same time, the company is preparing for the commissioning of another project of spodumene ore dressing and comprehensive utilisation, which is designed with an annualised capacity of 1.2 million mt, as the project has finished construction and equipment installation. 


Yongxing Materials started its investment in the lithium battery industry since 2017, targeting construction of the whole chain from mining, ore dressing, to battery cathode materials processing.

On March 16, the Longwan District Bureau of Ecology and Environment released the environmental impact assessment public notice for the "Spent Power Battery Dismantling and Standardized Cascade Utilization Project" undertaken by a battery energy company in Wenzhou. The project primarily involves battery assembly processes. It will add an annual capacity for cascade utilization of 5,000 tons of spent lithium-ion batteries, which are primarily used for base station backup power and energy storage systems.
